Biography

Dr. James N. Angelos has provided complete Cosmetic and General Dentistry in Pasadena for over 35 years.  A graduate of Case Western Reserve Dental School in Cleveland, Ohio, he served in the U.S. Public Health Service and the U.S. Coast Guard as a dental officer in Alameda, California providing all phases of General Dentistry. Dr. Angelos has continued his dental training over the years by attending and participating in seminars and post graduate courses in all aspects of dental treatment.

He was privileged to be Program Chairman and President of the Pasadena Academy of Dentistry and the Wilshire Academy of Dentistry.

Dr. Angelos has been a volunteer CPR instructor for 10 years with the

American Heart Association for members of the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society and has been a Peer Review Dental Examiner with the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society for over 20 years.

Dr. Angelos is an active member of the San Marino City Club and of St. Anthony’s Greek Orthodox Church in Pasadena, serving on various committees and as President of the Community for two years. Dr. Angelos has also enjoyed serving his community as a coach for Little League Baseball, AYSO soccer and youth basketball. Dr. Angelos is a member of the San Marino Tennis Club and the Flint Canyon Tennis Club and has enjoyed playing tennis for many years. He has recently taken up playing golf.

Dr. Angelos and his wife, Sophia, have three children, Nicolette, Jennie, and Nick all of whom attended school in San Marino and graduated from University of California, Irvine and University of Southern California. Dr. Angelos gets great pleasure from spending time with his family and considers himself lucky to have his five grandsons and three granddaughters (identical triplets) living in nearby cities.

Dr. Dalis is a lifelong South Bay resident, having grown up in Torrance, with strong ties to the community. He attended the University of Southern California where he earned his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology. Upon graduation, he attended the USC School of Dentistry where he was awarded his certificate.

Dr. Dalis is trained in all aspects of dentistry including all the latest cosmetic treatments, implants, endodontics, and the utilization of digital X Ray technology. Dr. Nicholas C. Davis is a 1973 graduate of Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry in California. After teaching at the University, he established his practice in Newport Beach, California in 1976.

His passion for dentistry and science was the driving force behind his achieving his Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellowship in the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics. His meticulous attention to detail contributed to his achieving the prestigious recognition of Accredited status in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is one of only five dentists in Orange County with this Board Certification in Cosmetic Dentistry. He was elected as the 2005-2006 President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is now serving as the 2012-2014 President of the Orange County Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Davis love of art and photography is his inspiration for creating beautiful smiles. He is a pioneer in the art of lip enhancement and smile design, and frequently lectures both nationally and internationally at dental conventions and universities. He has also published numerous cosmetic-related articles in the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry and other professional publications. He currently serves as Adjunct Professor at Loma Linda University teaching cosmetic dentistry to graduate students returning to improve their cosmetic skills.

His wife, Kiki, is a fine artist. Her bright, tropical paintings, some of which have been published, are displayed throughout the office. They have been happily married since 1972.

Dr. Gus Gialamas has been practicing sports medicine and general othopaedic surgery in San Clemente for over 20 years. During this time, he has amassed extensive experience performing and teaching arthroscopic procedures such as rotator cuff and labral repair, anterior crutiate ligament reconstruction, meniscal repair, and micro fracture. Dr. Gialamas has an equally impressive experience with hip and knee replacement surgery and treating fractures.

He received his Bachelor’s degree at Pepperdine University, and his Medical Doctorate at The University of Health Science-Chicago Medical School. He then completed a research fellowship at Harrington Arthritis research center in Phoenix, Arizona. His core general surgical internship was completed at the University of California San Francisco, where he also completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery in 1992. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons as well as a Fellow of the American  College of Surgeons.

Upon completion of his training Dr. Gialamas moved to San Clemente, California, where he started Sea View Orthopaedic Medical Group. He is on active staff at Saddleback Memorial San Clemente Hospital where he has served as Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery, Chief of Surgery, and Chief of Staff. He is also on active staff at Mission Hospital and Children’s Hospital, both in Mission Viejo, California.

Dr. Gialamas spends much of his free time contributing to the community of San Clemente and to communities around the globe. He not only sits on the Board of Operation Rainbow, a global physician volunteer organization providing free orthopaedic surgery to underserved and disaster locations, he is a founding member of the American Freestyle Motocross Association Board of Directors. Hand Surgery Specialist and
Upper Extremity Surgery Specialist

Hand surgery captivated South Bay native Dr. Halikis the minute he was exposed to it. “I love the intricacy involved in repairing one of the most complicated parts of the body. As a kid I used to build models and enjoy woodworking. Hand surgery is a lot like this—it’s an art and a science.” His patients span all ages, and he couldnt be more pleased to share his expertise, whether surgical or non-surgical, to help them.

Dr. Halikis’ first priority is that each of his patients receives an individually designed, comprehensive treatment and recovery program. He has specialized training in both hand surgery and upper extremity surgery, and is extensively trained in all aspects of operative and non-operative upper extremity care, including carpal tunnel syndrome, trauma, arthritis, tumors, tendonopathies such as trigger finger, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, and more. Because he completed the prestigious University of Florida Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship, he is highly sought after and well known for treating conditions and injuries that require sensitive care.

Dr. Halikis earned his doctorate and completed his orthopaedic residency at USC and is the former Chief of Surgery and Orthopaedics at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance. Dennis Jordanides, M.D., is the immediate past Chief of Clinical Practice Development at the Hoag Medical Group, which currently has 8 practice sites serving the population of Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, and Irvine. Dr. Jordanides received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Eta Kappa Nu) from the University of California Santa Barbara and his M.D. from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He served his residency at the University of California Irvine Medical Center, and then practiced and studied under the prominent Harvard-trained internist Dr. Ann Mass.
