Eleni D. Roumanas , D.D.S.
Biography
Dr. Roumanas completed her BS degree at UCLA and received her DDS degree from Northwestern University, Chicago. Postgraduate training included General Practice Residency (UCLA 1989), Advanced Prosthodontics Residency (UCLA/VAMC 1991), Maxillofacial Prosthetics Residency (UCLA 1992). She joined the faculty at UCLA School of Dentistry in 1992 as Assistant Professor and Director of Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the City of Hope National Medical Center. In 1995 she was awarded a mid-career Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology. She served as Chair of the Section of Removable Prosthodontics from 2002-2006, Co-Director of Maxillofacial Prosthetics from 1995-2010 and Director of Advanced Prosthodontics 2006-2012.
Dr. Roumanas is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a fellow of the Academy of Prosthodontics. She was elected and has served on the Board of Directors for the American College of Prosthodontists and the International Society for Maxillofacial Rehabilitation. Dr. Roumanas currently serves on the Editorial Review Boards for the Journal of Prosthodontics and the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.

Research Interests:
Deformities of the head and neck region resulting from cancer treatment, congenital malformation and traumatic injuries can be devastating on physical structure and function and frequently result in severe compromise in quality of life. Rehabilitation is currently a complex process best achieved through a multidisciplinary approach combining advanced surgical and prosthetic reconstructive procedures. Our goal at the Weintraub Center is to evaluate the outcomes of these treatments through randomized clinical trials and develop new approaches that will further push the envelope. Dr. Roumanas’ research focuses primarily on clinical outcomes in implant prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthetics.
Dr. Roumanas a member of the Oral Rehabilitation Outcomes Network (ORONet). An international multicenter group focused on standardized and comprehensive evaluation of comparative effectiveness of therapies of oral rehabilitation.

Biography
While I was born in Austin, Texas, my family is originally from Athens, Greece. I spent the majority of my childhood in Athens, and I am fluent in Modern Greek. After finishing at an American high school in Athens, I came back to the United States for college at Duke University. I returned to Texas for medical school, where I met my wonderful wife. We moved to California, where I attended residency and fellowship at USC, specializing in breast and body imaging. We have been happily enjoying the weather here ever since.
My personal philosophy is to deliver high-quality care to members as if they were part of my family.
I absolutely love to play the electric guitar, particularly the blues. I also enjoy live music and traveling. Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family.

Dr. Nick M. Spirtos
Biography
Nick M. Spirtos, M.D. is the Medical Director of the Women’s Cancer Center of Nevada, the largest group of gynecologic oncologists in the state. Dr. Spirtos is one of 18 physicians in his family and did his fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Stanford University. He remained on the full-time and clinical faculty at Stanford from 1987 until he moved to Las Vegas in 2005. He served as the Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Nevada School of Medicine from 2005 until 2010 and now is an Adjunct Clinical Professor there.
Dr. Spirtos has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and has written numerous chapters in internationally renowned textbooks. He serves on many editorial boards and was recently named the first American Editor of Bonney’s Textbook of Gynaecologic Surgery, which has been in continuous publication since 1911.
The Women’s Cancer Center of Nevada is also the only full-member institution in the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) in Nevada and has been one of the leading institutions in this co-operative group. Dr. Spirtos serves as the Chairman of the Gynecologic Oncology Committee in the GOG as well as being a member of the Uterine Corpus Committee. He has previously served on the Ovarian Cancer Committee as well as the Membership Committee. On behalf of the GOG, Dr. Spirtos authored or co-authored almost every article in the field of minimally invasive surgery. He has developed many of the procedures used today in minimally invasive surgery and was one of the first gynecologic oncologists certified in robotic surgery. Along with Dr. Scott Eisenkop, Dr. Spirtos has written many of the landmark papers regarding the role of surgery in the treatment of advanced ovarian cancer.
Recently he was named to the University Medical Center Advisory Board. He and the Women’s Cancer Center of Nevada were featured on 60 minutes due to their commitment to the care of patients who had lost their ability to be cared for by the County Hospital (UMC).
Dr. Spirtos has twins, Alexandra and Michael who are studying Medicine and Law respectively. Dr. Spirtos spends most of his time off writing, lecturing, or traveling with his family.
Sotiris Tetradis , DDS

Sotirios Tetradis, D.D.S., Ph.D. is a professor and the chair of the Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in the Division of Diagnostic and Surgical Sciences at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Christos E. Thanos , DDS
Biography
Dr. Thanos was born in Athens, Greece. His first visit to the United States was in 1964 when he was invited as an American Field Service Exchange Student. He went on to attend Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania as a Fulbright Scholar, one of the highest academic honors a student can earn.
In 1971, Dr. Thanos received his dental degree from the University of Athens, Greece. For the next two years he continued advanced studies at the University of London, England where he specialized in pediatric dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital. In 1973, Dr. Thanos was a postdoctoral scholar at the UCLA School of Dentistry where he furthered his studies in biomaterials science and pediatric dentistry. He completed his fellowship and received certificates in both pediatric dentistry and cranio-facial genetics at UCLA Harbor Hospital.
In 1977, Dr. Thanos joined the faculty of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He served as a chairman of the department of Advanced Pediatric Dentistry from 1979 to 1985. During that period, he initiated the Specialized Clinic of Esthetic Dentistry where he served as director until 1992.
Dr. Thanos is not only a gifted dentist, he is also a respected scientist in his field and has published numerous research monographs. He is considered a pioneer in the field of esthetic dentistry. He has been participating in the Torrance community for over thirty years.
Dr. Nicholas J. Thanos
Biography
Dr. Nicholas Thanos, “Dr. Nick” to his patients, has been working in the women’s health field for over 30 years. As a Board Certified specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Nick has lived and worked in Orange County since he established Center for Women’s Health in 1983. His strong interest in teaching still regularly draws him back to U.S.C. where he is a former Clinical Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology. His interest in issues affecting women’s health has taken on speaking engagements throughout the country. He has done extensive research in the area of minimally invasive surgery leading him to be among the first physicians in the country to be certified in this specialized field of Gynecology. Dr. Nick currently resides in Fullerton with his lovely wife, Victoria and their adorable daugther. He credits his father, John Thanos, M.D., for teaching him the “art” of medicine. “As a country doctor from Wisconsin, Dad taught me how to take care of people, not diseases. These were the kind of things no one told you about in medical school.”

E. Mike Vasilomanolakis MD, is a past president and current secretary of the Hellenic-American Medical and Dental Society of Southern California.
He is an Interventional Cardiologist in Long Beach. Dr Vasilomanolakis trained at the University of Illinois Medical School with residency training in Internal Medicine at Rush Presbyterian-St Lukes Medical Center. His cardiology training was at the University of California Irvine.

Dr. Katrina Vlachos
Biography
Dr. Katrina M. Vlachos is a board certified doctor of physical medicine and rehabilitation who specializes in preventative orthopedic health and rehabilitation. She focuses on a conservative, non-surgical treatment of orthopedic and neurological disorders with an emphasis on exercise-based approaches. In addition, she offers patients who suffer from chronic tendonitis and other musculoskeletal injuries the treatment of PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy) that use platelets, which are naturally found in blood, to help speed up tissue healing.
Dr. Vlachos also employs alternative techniques and medications to restore function and improve quality of life. She has over 10 years of experience working closely with orthopedic and neurological surgeons.
At the University of California, Irivne, Dr. Vlachos was a member of the Women’s Division I volleyball team for four years. She graduated in 1991 with a B.S. in biological sciences and subsequently attended the St. Louis University School of Medicine. In 1995, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was nominated to the prestigious Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Following an internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, she completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Michigan Health Systems.
As a former scholar-athlete, Dr. Vlachos is dedicated to alleviating pain brought about by any sports-related injury. Cleo T Williams , MD
Biography
Cleo T. Williams has been practicing family medicine along with clinical and anotomical pathology since 1993. She is on the medical staff of Huntington Hospital in Pasadena and Methodist Hospital in Arcadia. She also teaches medical students and nurse practitioners and speaks English, Greek and Spanish.
Dr. Williams finished her undergraduate studies at the University of Salamanca in Spain and is a graduate of USC Medical School.
Dr. Williams offers medical care to the entire family – she has some that span three or four generations! She prides herself on sincerity and cares for each patient as if they are a member of her own family. She provides preventative medicine to people of all ages and to both male and female genders.
